How can I add more things to My Page - like videos, links or a picture?

On your profile page ("My Page") you'll see a box beneath your profile questions labelled "Your How to Draw and Paint Community Box". It's in this box that you can add almost anything you like - pictures, videos, links to other sites and so on.

My Box

Click the edit button to the right (shown above) and add wahtever elements you like.

Adding Pictures: You'll see a series of icons just above the text entry box that look like this:

Add pictures to blog

Click the picture icon (circled in red) and you can choose to either upload a picture from your PC or paste the URL of picture you've already uploaded.

Adding Links: You'll see a series of icons just above the text entry box that look like this:

Add links to forum

Click the link icon (circled in red) and a box will pop up asking you to enter the address (URL) of the page or site you want to link to.

The link code will now be added to your post and the mouse cursor will be flashing between the two arrows like this:

Copy link to blog

Just add some text between the arrows - whatever you want the link to say i.e. "Click here" or "Here's my favorite art supplies website". Whatever you type here will be the link text that appears underlined in blue.

Adding Videos: You can add a video from say YouTube or Meta Cafe (or any video sharing site for that matter). Simply go to YouTube for example and find the video you want. To the right you'll see a box with some embed code in. Copy and paste this into your How to Draw & Paint community Box and presto... the video will appear!

Add video to blog

At YouTube, highlight the code circled in red, copy it to your clipboard (press "Ctrl" and "C") and then paste it into your How to Draw & Paint Community Box.

How do I add pictures to comment walls?

You'll see a series of icons just above the text entry box that look like this:

Add pictures to blog

Click the picture icon (circled in red) and you can choose to either upload a picture from your PC or paste the URL of picture you've already uploaded.

How do I change the color scheme and layout of My Page?

Go to your profile page ("My Page") and under your profile picture on the left you will see a link labelled "Theme".

Change theme

Click the "Theme" link and you'll be presented with a list of different color schemes and styles to choose from.

PLEASE NOTE: Some default styles look better than others and a few aren't very user friendly (navigation links are obscured by background images). You can change tweak the colors of various elements (such as links for example) or add your own header graphic by using the Customizer:

Change theme

It's important that the Tabs (Home - My Page - Pictures - Forums etc.) at the top of the page are clearly visible. For example, if you upload your own header graphic and it's the same color as the links, these tabs won't show up.

Change theme

Changing the font color to black makes the tabs more visible.

What if I want to leave the Community?

Obviously we hope you never do. But should you want to leave you can do so with minimum fuss. Go to the "My Settings" link in the top left hand box with the green border. Scroll to the bottom of this page and you'll see a link that says "Leave how to Draw & Paint Community".
